A little
about me
Hey, it’s Ella!
I’m originally from Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. I started dancing at the age of three, and it quickly became the one activity my parents could never pull me away from. Ever since, I’ve felt more at home on stage than anywhere else.
Dance has continuously challenged me to grow, teaching me dedication and resilience along the way. In my competitive studio, I’ve pushed through unfamiliar styles and learned the value of true teamwork.
In high school, I discovered a passion for choreography while working on school musicals. I loved collaborating with large groups and designing dynamic stage pictures, bringing performances to life from a new perspective.
Now, I’m excited to continue growing in that role as the Associate Choreographer for Footloose at JMU this fall.
Outside of dance, I enjoy sewing and knitting, or any craft for that matter. On any given weekday, you can usually find me in a coffee shop, listening to an audiobook or podcast.
